Shiraz is the signature grape of Australia; it is often known as Syrah elsewhere. Victoria is the smallest state on the Australian mainland but is second in wine production. It is quite diverse in terms of climates, terrains, and wines. The Jindalee Estate Winery produces a variety of inexpensive wines and offers the pricier Fettlers Rest label for estate-grown grapes. Only the wine reviewed below is available in my area.

This is another delightful venue and the only delicatessen in the resort. Instead of dining out, if you would prefer to grab something to take back to the ski chalets, La Tania's sole deli will oblige for you. They have a delivery service to use as well if you wish. Many skiers go here before hitting the slopes so they can take a packed lunch with them. Alternatively, drop in when you're done for the day and look forward to hot roast chicken, crock pot beef stew, pizza and much more.

When night time comes, the crowd pours in and the good times start to roll. Happy hour Thatcher's is the place to be. They have a huge bar and over 15 beers to choose from. On weekends go to Thatcher's to catch up with some local talent and to mix and mingle with neighbors and make some new acquaintances. Thatcher's motto is if you can't come in smile as you pass. Well, there is no doubt that you most certainly leave with a smile on your face and look forward to a return trip. While enjoying your pint at the pub, I bid you this piece of Irish wisdom- A narrow neck keeps the bottle from being emptied in one swig. Here's to Arthur! Cheers!

Marinades for meats are a great way to learn how herbal blends can enhance the flavor and texture of meat. Just remember to use an acidic liquid such as apple cider vinegar, lemon juice or orange juice to marinade the meat with the herbs and spices.

The best thing a vegetarian can do is to go through the recipes that they currently have on hand. These are no doubt their favorites anyway. Now imagine how they will look or taste without the meat in the them. Some may not even matter, like for instance, beef stew. Now you simply call it stew. Maybe you might want to add some extra vegetables for some additional color or flavor. It will still be tasty and all will enjoy it. Continue through your recipes and this will now be your base for your meatless meal planning adventure. And, it is an adventure but the reward is that you will now be cooking meatless which is what you, no doubt want anyway.

Use a recipe specifically created for slow cooker beef bourguignon cookers. If you are dying to convert a traditional recipe to a crock pot recipe, there are some rules to follow. For example, unless you're making soup, you'll typically want to decrease the amount of liquid you add. Because a slow cooker retains moisture, you can sometimes end up with more liquid at the end of the cooking time than you had when you started and this can dilute the flavors of your dish.

Place all ingredients in the crockpot and cook on high beef casserole red wine two hours. Taste and adjust seasoning is necessary. Remove bay leaves, limes wedges (squeeze any juice out of them first) and the chicken from the pot. Let the chicken cool enough to touch and remove the bones being especially careful to remove the small ones. Throw away the bay leaves, lime wedges and the bones. Shred the chicken meat and put it back into the soup.

I'll ask again, would you break into a sweat if you had to create a 6 course French dinner for friends? Now I believe your answer would be "no", because it only takes 5 basic cooking methods, not 5 long, complicated, vague and outdated written recipes.
